Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ENT Nurse to provide specialized nursing care for patients with ear, nose, throat, head, and neck conditions. The successful candidate will assist ENT specialists during examinations and procedures, provide pre-operative and post-operative care, educate patients on treatment plans, and ensure high standards of patient safety and clinical care.

This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Support
Assist ENT specialists during patient consultations, clinical assessments, minor procedures, and surgeries.
Prepare examination rooms, instruments, and equipment required for ENT procedures.
Support diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as endoscopy, ear suctioning, and other ENT-related interventions.
Ensure all necessary equipment is properly maintained and available for use.
Patient Assessment & Care
Conduct patient assessments, including recording vital signs, obtaining medical histories, and performing ENT-specific observations.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
Monitor patient responses to treatments and procedures and promptly report any concerns or complications to the physician.
Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
Patient Education
Educate patients and their families regarding ENT conditions, treatment plans, medication usage, and hygiene practices.
Provide discharge instructions and guidance for home care and recovery.
Answer patient queries and offer emotional support when needed.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and nursing documentation.
Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control protocols.
Follow hospital or clinic policies, safety standards, and professional nursing guidelines.
Maintain patient confidentiality and ethical standards at all times.
Team Collaboration
Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Participate in multidisciplinary patient management and care planning activities.
Qualifications
Educational Qualification
Diploma in Nursing (GNM)
OR
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing)
Registration
Valid Nursing Registration / License (RN, RGN, or equivalent)
Experience
Experience in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred.
Freshers are welcome to apply.
Prior ENT nursing experience will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
Knowledge of ENT disorders, treatments, and procedures.
Strong clinical assessment and observation skills.
Ability to operate ENT equipment such as:
Otoscopes
Endoscopes
Suction Machines
Excellent communication and patient counseling skills.
Strong organizational and documentation abilities.
Compassionate, detail-oriented, and patient-focused approach.
Work Conditions
May require rotational shifts, weekend duties, and holiday coverage.
Exposure to clinical and minor surgical procedure environments.
Physical demands may include prolonged standing and assisting with patient mobility.
