Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Hardware Test Engineer to join an innovative team focused on transforming the data storage industry. In this role, you will develop and enhance test solutions for SSD products within a high-volume manufacturing environment while collaborating with cross-functional and global teams to ensure efficient product validation and manufacturing success.
Key Responsibilities
Test Software Development
Design, develop, and deploy software solutions for testing SSD storage hardware in manufacturing environments
Improve existing test software for enhanced scalability, integration, and efficiency
Align software solutions with evolving hardware and manufacturing requirements
Hardware Debugging
Develop a strong understanding of SSD storage hardware systems
Diagnose and resolve manufacturing test environment issues
Perform failure analysis and troubleshooting across multiple hardware platforms
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to define and execute test requirements
Collaborate with geographically distributed global teams to incorporate feedback into test tools and processes
Contract Manufacturer (CM) Communication & Proto Build Management
Serve as the primary technical interface between the organization and Contract Manufacturers (CMs)
Communicate test requirements, process changes, and updates effectively
Manage prototype builds and ensure smooth execution of test plans
Address and resolve prototype and production-related issues promptly
Continuous Improvement
Drive initiatives to improve test procedures, debugging methodologies, and failure analysis tools
Enhance testing efficiency, quality, and manufacturing productivity
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in:
Electrical Engineering
Computer Engineering
Related Engineering Field
3+ years of experience in software development for hardware manufacturing test tools
Strong programming skills in:
Python
Object-Oriented Programming Languages
Experience in hardware test program planning and execution
Ability to manage risks, coordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate project results effectively
Capability to develop detailed hardware validation test plans from schematics and design documentation
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Experience working with distributed and cross-functional global teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments
Prior experience with hyperscaler companies
Lean Six Sigma Certification
