Position Overview

CombineHealth is hiring an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to work closely with the Revenue Cycle Manager in optimizing healthcare billing operations. The role integrates traditional medical billing expertise with AI-driven tools to improve claim accuracy, reduce denials, and maximize reimbursements.

This is a high-impact role combining healthcare operations, analytics, and AI-based workflow optimization.

Key Responsibilities
Revenue Cycle Management
Manage end-to-end medical billing process from patient registration to payment collection
Monitor key KPIs including:
Days in Accounts Receivable (A/R)
Claim denial rates
Collection efficiency
Ensure billing accuracy above 98%
Develop billing policies aligned with healthcare regulations
AI-Driven Billing Operations
Collaborate with AI/ML teams to improve billing workflows
Use predictive analytics to reduce claim denials
Analyze AI-generated reports for process improvements
Train teams on AI-enabled billing systems
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Maintain knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
Conduct audits and implement corrective actions
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and billing standards
Team Leadership
Mentor billing and coding professionals
Conduct performance evaluations and training sessions
Support team development and operational excellence
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills
Experience with practice management systems (Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, etc.)
Strong knowledge of:
ICD-10 coding
CPT coding
HCPCS coding
Experience with EHR and RCM systems
Proficiency in Excel / SQL / data analysis tools
Exposure to AI/ML in healthcare (preferred)
