Job Overview

The Production Supervisor will support the Production Manager in overseeing daily fabrication shop floor activities. The role involves managing manpower, ensuring production quality, monitoring workflow, and maintaining safety and efficiency in fabrication operations.

Key Responsibilities
Production & Shop Floor Management
Supervise cutting, welding, drilling, assembly, painting, and dispatch operations.
Allocate manpower and monitor daily productivity of workers (welders, fitters, helpers).
Ensure smooth execution of shift operations independently.
Quality & Technical Compliance
Verify drawing references, BOM items, and job cards before fabrication.
Ensure dimensional accuracy and welding quality as per QAP standards.
Conduct in-process inspections and coordinate with QC team.
Monitor paint coating thickness and surface preparation quality.
Reporting & Documentation
Maintain production reports, rework records, and machine utilization data.
Track raw material usage and report shortages to Production Manager.
Use basic ERP / Excel / Google Sheets for daily reporting.
Safety & Process Improvement
Implement 5S, safety standards, and housekeeping discipline.
Ensure proper tagging, loading, and dispatch readiness.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and training of new workers.
Skills & Capabilities
Strong leadership and shop floor supervision skills
Knowledge of PEB fabrication processes
Understanding of welding symbols and technical drawings
Awareness of ISO, QAP, and safety standards
Basic computer skills (Excel / ERP tools)
Good communication with workers and engineering teams
Capacity Expectations
Supervise 15–25 manpower per shift
Achieve 300–750 tons/month production with quality compliance
Eligibility Criteria
Diploma / ITI in Mechanical, Fitter, or Welder trade
2 – 4 years of experience in PEB / structural steel fabrication
Knowledge of welding electrodes, painting systems, and alignment tools preferred
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: ₹18,000 – ₹25,000 per month (based on experience)
