Role Overview
JSR Architects is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Construction Estimator to join its growing team in Erode. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, quantity surveys, BOQs, and budgeting documentation for residential and commercial architectural projects.
This role requires strong analytical skills, expertise in estimation software such as PlanSwift, and the ability to coordinate effectively with design and execution teams to ensure cost feasibility and project efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Estimation & Cost Analysis
Examine architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand project scope and requirements.
Conduct detailed material take-offs and quantity surveys for accurate cost estimation.
Prepare:
BOQs (Bill of Quantities)
Cost proposals
Budgeting documents
Estimation reports
Coordination & Project Support
Coordinate with design and site teams to ensure alignment between design intent and project budgets.
Support feasibility analysis and cost planning activities during project development.
Software & Documentation
Utilize PlanSwift or similar estimating software for professional estimation workflows.
Maintain accurate estimation records and documentation.
Market Research & Vendor Coordination
Track market pricing trends, vendor quotations, and material costs.
Update and maintain material and pricing databases regularly.
Required Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in:
Civil Engineering
Construction Management
Related field
Required Skills
Mandatory proficiency in:
PlanSwift
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Experience in:
Residential building estimation
Commercial project estimation
Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to manage timelines and deliver accurate estimates efficiently.
