Role Overview

We are hiring a Legal Counsel for a leading retail brand based in Delhi NCR. The role involves managing end-to-end legal responsibilities related to property leasing, compliance advisory, due diligence, and litigation support.

The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in lease and license documentation, property due diligence, compliance management, and coordination with external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Negotiate and manage end-to-end legal documentation related to:
Lease agreements
License agreements
Sustainability commitments
Code of ethics
Conduct extensive due diligence for leasing properties
Coordinate and liaise with:
External legal counsels
Landlord counsels
Finalize and review due diligence reports
Provide legal advisory on portfolio-related matters including:
Signage issues
Penalty clauses
Related invoicing disputes
Change of ownership matters
Initiate and manage litigation in coordination with compliance specialists
Ensure proactive legal risk management and compliance support
Handle all legal matters related to leasing operations and property management
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience in leasing and property-related legal matters
Expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements
Sound understanding of real estate due diligence and compliance
Experience handling litigation and dispute management
Strong stakeholder coordination and communication skills
Ability to independently manage legal issues and negotiations
Preferred Candidate Profile
Experience working with retail, commercial leasing, or real estate portfolios
Strong analytical and negotiation abilities
Ability to work in fast-paced corporate environments
