Position Overview

A client of PPA is seeking an experienced and technically strong Senior Fund Accountant to join their private capital advisory platform. The role will support fund aggregation vehicles investing across multiple private capital strategies and will be responsible for fund-level accounting, investor allocations, and oversight of external service providers in a multi-jurisdictional environment.

Role Summary

The Senior Fund Accountant will lead accounting operations for aggregation vehicles, manage investor reporting and fund allocations, coordinate with auditors and administrators, and support new fund launches. This position requires strong technical expertise in private capital fund structures and the ability to work effectively across global teams and time zones.

Key Responsibilities
Lead fund accounting activities for aggregation vehicles
Manage:
Capital calls
Distributions
Waterfall calculations
NAV calculations
Investor capital accounts
Review and approve:
Financial statements
Capital account statements
Investor reporting packages
Oversee:
Cash management
Bank reconciliations
Expense allocations
Accruals
Coordinate audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting with:
External auditors
Fund administrators
Advisors
Ensure accurate implementation of:
Fund documentation
Fee calculations
Allocation methodologies
Support structuring and launch of new aggregation vehicles
Assist with onboarding new investors
Collaborate with investment, operations, and compliance teams
Identify process improvements and support system enhancements and internal controls
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Professional qualification preferred:
CA
CPA
ACCA
5–8+ years of experience in:
Private equity fund accounting
Private capital accounting
Fund administration
Strong technical knowledge of:
Private fund structures
Capital calls
Waterfalls
Investor allocations
Experience working with fund administrators and outsourced accounting functions
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Experience with fund accounting platforms is an advantage
High attention to detail and strong sense of ownership
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Ability to work across multiple time zones
