🧩 About the Role

We are looking for a Composable Commerce Architect to lead enterprise-scale digital commerce transformation initiatives.

This is a strategic + hands-on leadership role, where you will design and implement modern, cloud-native, MACH-based commerce platforms, bridging business strategy and technical execution.

You’ll work with global clients to build flexible, modular, omnichannel commerce ecosystems using best-in-class technologies.

🎯 Key Responsibilities
Define and implement end-to-end eCommerce architecture strategy
Lead Composable (MACH) architecture design and technology selection
Drive migration from monolithic platforms → cloud-based composable systems (AWS preferred)
Architect scalable solutions focusing on:
Performance
Security
Reliability
Design API-first and microservices-based architectures
Build and guide teams on modern commerce stacks
Collaborate with:
Product teams
Engineering teams
External vendors
Ensure Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) across platforms
Contribute to RFPs, proposals, and client advisory
Stay ahead of emerging commerce and digital technologies
🔧 Must-Have Skills
20+ years in software industry
8–10 years in architecture (web/mobile)
5+ years in Composable Commerce (MACH)
💡 Core Expertise:
Cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
Microservices & API-first design
Headless commerce architecture
DevSecOps & Quality Engineering
Event-driven systems (Kafka, AWS EventBridge)
🛠️ Commerce Ecosystem Experience:
Frontend: Next.js, React
Search: Algolia, Constructor
CMS: Contentful, Contentstack
PIM: Akeneo, Bluestone, Pimberly
OMS: Fluent Commerce, OneStock
Platforms: commercetools, BigCommerce
🔐 Additional Capabilities:
Payment integrations (Apple Pay, Google Pay, BNPL, Net Banking)
Caching (Redis, Memcached, AWS Elasticache)
Monitoring (Dynatrace, AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray)
NoSQL DBs (DynamoDB, MongoDB)
Security (OAuth, encryption, tokenization)
⭐ Nice to Have
Experience with on-prem eCommerce platforms (Oracle, etc.)
Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Understanding of SEO, SEM, digital marketing strategies
